Well...it's finally here. My final day in St. Petersburg, FL. Last day at work at USFSP, too. I have mixed feelings...but mostly excited about the trip and new adventures that lay ahead. I'll definitely miss all my coworkers and friends, but promise I will return in December for a short while to catch up.
I guess it really hasn't hit me yet like it has with everyone else. It's weird. I suppose it'll really get to me once I'm finally gone...especially once I'm in CA. It just feels like a vacation or something to me at the moment...not a permanent change (which is what it really is).

Well...this is it. It's down to the last 17 minutes. Still doesn't 100% feel like my last day here. Weird, too, since I've been here 4 years. Hmmm. Well, it's all good. It was a fun trip and a great learning experience.

It's sad for those you are leaving behind (me, the kids, your folks and siblings, co-workers, friends), but exciting for you. The road trip will be fun. It will be sad for me to get on that plane in LAX. We all wish you the best and look forward to your return visit in December.
